This medicine is mainly used to treat raised pressure inside the eye, commonly seen in glaucoma or ocular hypertension.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

  • Lowering high intraocular (eye) pressure
  • Managing open-angle glaucoma
  • Managing ocular hypertension when a single medicine is not enough

HOW IT WORKS

  • Brinzolamide reduces the production of fluid inside the eye by blocking an enzyme called carbonic anhydrase
  • Timolol, a beta-blocker, also reduces the fluid produced inside the eye
  • Together they lower eye pressure more than either medicine alone
  • Benzalkonium chloride is a preservative that keeps the eye drop free from contamination

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

  • It is not used to treat eye infections
  • It is not used to treat eye redness caused by allergy or irritation
  • It is not a painkiller and does not treat eye injury
  • It is not used for dry eyes or general eye lubrication

How to Use Brinzolamide 10mg + Timolol 5mg + Benzalkonium 0.01%

HOW TO TAKE IT

  • Use this eye drop only in the eye(s) as advised by your doctor
  • Wash your hands before use
  • Tilt your head back, pull down the lower eyelid, and place the drop inside without touching the tip to the eye or eyelid
  • Press gently on the inner corner of the eye for a minute after applying to reduce absorption into the body
  • If you use other eye drops, wait at least 5-10 minutes between them
  • Do not rub your eyes after applying

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

  • Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember
  • If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
  • Do not apply two doses together to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

  • Store as directed on the pack, usually below 25°C, away from direct sunlight
  • Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use
  • Discard the bottle after the period mentioned on the label once opened
  • Keep out of reach of children
