Cabozantinib 60mg is used mainly in the treatment of advanced kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma), liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma), and certain thyroid cancers, usually when the disease has spread or other treatments have not worked well.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Advanced or metastatic renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer)
• Hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer) after prior therapy
• Advanced medullary thyroid cancer

HOW IT WORKS

• Blocks proteins called tyrosine kinases (like VEGFR, MET, and RET) that cancer cells use to grow and spread
• Reduces the blood supply that tumours need to grow by blocking new blood vessel formation
• Slows down or stops the progression of cancer cells

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for common infections or general pain
• Not a cure for cancer; it controls or slows disease progression

How to Use Cabozantinib 60mg

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew
• Take on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal
• Take at the same time each day for consistent effect
• Do not stop or change the dose without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• If it is close to your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
• Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one
• If more than a few hours have passed and it is far from your next dose, take it as soon as you remember
