Carbamazepine 400mg — Uses and Benefits
Carbamazepine is mainly used to treat epilepsy (seizure disorders), certain types of nerve pain, and some mood disorders.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Controlling different types of seizures in epilepsy
- Relieving pain in trigeminal neuralgia (a nerve pain condition affecting the face)
- Helping stabilise mood in certain mood disorders such as bipolar disorder, when prescribed by a specialist
HOW IT WORKS
- It acts on nerve cells in the brain and reduces abnormal electrical activity
- This helps prevent seizures and reduces the repeated nerve firing that causes certain types of pain
- It also helps stabilise mood by acting on the nervous system
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not a painkiller for ordinary headaches, body pain, or fever

How to Use Carbamazepine 400mg
HOW TO TAKE IT
