WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis and tonsillitis
• Ear infections (otitis media)

• Urinary tract infections
• Skin and soft tissue infections

HOW IT WORKS

• It belongs to the cephalosporin class of antibiotics
• It stops bacteria from building their protective cell wall
• Without a proper cell wall, the bacteria die and the infection clears

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It does not work against viral infections like common cold or flu

How to Use Cefaclor 187mg

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, at the same times each day
• Can be taken with or without food, but taking with food may reduce stomach upset
• Shake the suspension well before each use if using liquid form
• Complete the full course even if you feel better before finishing it
• Do not stop early as this can lead to incomplete treatment of infection

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep the liquid suspension in the refrigerator if advised by your pharmacist, but do not freeze
• Discard any unused liquid suspension after the period mentioned on the label
• Keep out of reach of children

• Severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis)
