WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

HOW IT WORKS

• Cefixime stops bacteria from building their protective cell wall, causing them to die
• Cloxacillin also blocks cell wall formation, and is particularly effective against certain resistant bacteria (like some Staphylococcus strains)
• Together they widen the spectrum of bacteria that can be treated

How to Use Cefixime (100mg) + Cloxacillin (500mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor, in the dose and duration advised
• It is usually taken before meals for better absorption, unless your doctor says otherwise
• Swallow tablets/capsules whole with water; do not crush unless advised
• Complete the full course even if you feel better, to prevent bacterial resistance
• Do not stop the medicine on your own

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as normal
• Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
• If a reconstituted liquid form is used, follow the specific storage instructions given by the pharmacist
