WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Inducing ovulation in women who have irregular or absent ovulation
- Treating infertility linked to polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
- Helping women who wish to conceive under fertility treatment supervision
HOW IT WORKS
- It blocks oestrogen receptors in the brain, tricking the body into thinking oestrogen levels are low
- This causes the brain to release more hormones (FSH and LH) that stimulate the ovaries
- Increased FSH and LH help the ovary develop and release a mature egg
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not used for male infertility treatment as a routine therapy
- It is not a general fertility booster for women with normal ovulation
- It is not used to prevent pregnancy or as a contraceptive
- It is not used for the treatment of hormone-related cancers
How to Use Clomifene 100mg
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily for 5 days starting early in your menstrual cycle
- Can be taken with or without food, at the same time each day
- Do not increase the dose or extend the course on your own
- Your doctor may monitor your ovulation with scans or blood tests during treatment
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue as scheduled
- Do not take double the dose to make up for a missed one
- Inform your doctor if you miss more than one dose during the course
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep in the original packaging until use
- Keep out of reach of children
