HOW IT WORKS

• Clotrimazole damages the outer membrane of fungal cells
• This stops the fungus from growing and multiplying
• Over time, the fungal infection clears up as the fungus is destroyed

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It does not treat bacterial infections
• It does not treat viral infections such as cold sores or flu
• It is not a treatment for sexually transmitted infections other than fungal ones
• It should not be used to prevent infections without medical advice

How to Use Clotrimazole 100mg.

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Use exactly as prescribed by your doctor
• For vaginal tablets, insert into the vagina at bedtime using the applicator provided, or as directed
• For skin infections, apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area and gently rub in
• For oral thrush, allow the lozenge to dissolve slowly in the mouth if this form has been prescribed
