WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once or twice a day with meals

- Take at the same time each day to maintain steady blood sugar control
- Continue taking it even if you feel well, unless your doctor tells you to stop
- Follow the diet and exercise plan advised by your doctor along with this medicine
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

- Severe dehydration or fainting
- Signs of ketoacidosis such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and unusual tiredness, even with normal or slightly high blood sugar
- Severe urinary or genital infection with fever
- Yellowing of skin or eyes (signs of liver problems)
- Severe allergic reaction such as swelling of face, lips or throat, or difficulty breathing
