HOW IT WORKS

• Estradiol is a form of estrogen, the hormone that reduces naturally after menopause
• Applying it on the skin allows it to be absorbed into the bloodstream slowly
• It helps restore estrogen levels, easing menopausal symptoms and protecting vaginal and bone tissue

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not a contraceptive and does not prevent pregnancy
• It is not used to treat irregular periods unrelated to menopause

How to Use Estradiol (0.06% W/W)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Apply the gel on clean, dry, unbroken skin, usually on the arm, shoulder or thigh, as advised by your doctor
• Use it at the same time each day for consistent hormone levels
• Allow the gel to dry completely before dressing and avoid washing the area for a few hours
• Do not apply on the breasts or genital area unless your doctor specifically instructs
• Wash your hands after application, unless it is your hands being treated
• Avoid sun exposure or covering the area with tight clothing right after application

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Apply it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
• Do not apply double the amount to make up for a missed dose

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight
• Keep the container tightly closed and away from children and pets
• Do not store in the bathroom or near open flame, as the gel may be flammable until fully dried

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Breast tenderness or swelling
• Headache
• Nausea
• Bloating
• Skin irritation or redness at the application site

LESS COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Mood changes or irritability
• Weight changes
• Vaginal spotting or breakthrough bleeding
• Leg cramps

SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY

• Sudden chest pain or shortness of breath
• Sudden severe headache, vision changes, or slurred speech
• Pain, swelling or redness in one leg (possible blood clot)
• Yellowing of skin or eyes
• Lump in the breast or unusual vaginal bleeding
