Ethamsylate 125mg is mainly used to control bleeding, particularly heavy menstrual bleeding and bleeding from small blood vessels during and after surgery.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia)
• Bleeding after surgery, including dental and ENT procedures
• Bleeding due to capillary fragility
• Nosebleeds (epistaxis) in some cases
• As advised by doctor in certain bleeding disorders affecting small vessels

HOW IT WORKS

• Corrects abnormal capillary bleeding by improving platelet adhesion
• Strengthens the walls of small blood vessels (capillaries)
• Reduces the leakage of blood from damaged capillaries
• Does not act as a general blood clotting agent like anticoagulant reversal drugs

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It does not treat bleeding due to major clotting factor deficiencies like haemophilia
• It is not a treatment for blood clots (thrombosis) or heart-related conditions

How to Use Ethamsylate 125mg

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, in terms of dose and duration

• Do not stop the medicine on your own even if bleeding reduces, unless your doctor says so

STORAGE
