• Prevention of recurrent episodes of abnormal heart rhythm in selected patients

HOW IT WORKS

• It blocks sodium channels in heart muscle cells
• This slows down abnormal electrical signals that cause the heart to beat irregularly
• This helps the heart return to and maintain a normal, steady rhythm

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not used for routine high blood pressure
• It is not a painkiller and does not treat chest pain from blocked arteries
• It is not used in patients with structural heart disease or weak heart pumping unless specifically advised by a cardiologist
• It is not a first-choice medicine for most common, mild palpitations

How to Use Flecainide 100mg

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually twice a day at evenly spaced times
• Swallow the tablet with water; it can be taken with or without food, but be consistent
• Do not change the dose or stop suddenly without consulting your doctor
• Regular heart monitoring (ECG) and blood tests may be needed while on this medicine

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
