Fluticasone Propionate 0.05% w/v is mainly used to treat nasal allergy symptoms and inflammation of the nasal passages.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Allergic rhinitis (seasonal and year-round, such as hay fever)
• Non-allergic rhinitis with sneezing, runny or blocked nose
• Nasal itching, congestion and watery discharge
• Prevention of recurrence of nasal polyps after surgery, in some cases

HOW IT WORKS

• It is a corticosteroid that acts locally on the nasal lining
• It reduces the release of inflammatory chemicals in the nose
• This decreases swelling, itching, sneezing and mucus production
• It works best when used regularly, not just when symptoms occur

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not used for a common cold or viral infection
• It is not a rescue treatment for sudden breathing difficulty or asthma attacks
• It is not meant for eye infections or skin conditions
• It should not be used for immediate relief of a blocked nose caused by injury or structural nasal problems

How to Use Fluticasone Propionate 0.05% W/V

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Use only as prescribed by your doctor, usually as a specific number of sprays into each nostril
• Shake the bottle gently before use
• Blow your nose gently to clear it before spraying
• Tilt your head slightly forward and point the nozzle away from the nasal septum (middle wall)
• Do not tilt your head back while spraying
• Wipe the nozzle clean after each use
• Wash your hands after use
• Use it regularly at the same time each day for best results, as improvement may take a few days

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Use it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not use double the amount to make up for a missed dose

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep the cap tightly closed when not in use
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
• Discard the bottle as per the number of doses/days mentioned by the manufacturer after opening
