This composition is used in the treatment of hormone-sensitive conditions in women.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treatment of hormone receptor-positive breast cancer in postmenopausal women
• As part of treatment after surgery or other cancer therapy to reduce risk of recurrence
• Sometimes used off-label under specialist supervision to help with ovulation in women having difficulty conceiving

HOW IT WORKS

• It blocks an enzyme called aromatase that the body uses to make oestrogen
• Lowering oestrogen levels can slow or stop the growth of certain breast cancers that depend on oestrogen
• Lower oestrogen levels can also trigger the body to release hormones that stimulate ovulation

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not used for hormone receptor-negative breast cancer
• It is not used for breast cancer in men unless specifically advised by a specialist
• It is not a painkiller and does not treat infections
• It should not be used during pregnancy for any indication

How to Use Goodova-L 2.5mg

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day
• It can be taken with or without food
• Try to take it at the same time each day to build a routine
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Continue the full course as advised, even if you feel well — do not stop on your own

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your normal schedule
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one
• If you miss doses often, inform your doctor

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct heat, light, and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
• Do not store in the bathroom or near the kitchen sink

SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY

• Chest pain or pressure
• Sudden weakness or numbness on one side of the body, or trouble speaking (signs of stroke)
• Severe bone pain or unexplained fractures
• Signs of a severe allergic reaction such as swelling of face/lips/throat, difficulty breathing, or widespread rash
• Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice)
• Severe or persistent leg swelling or pain (possible blood clot)

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are pregnant or trying to become pregnant naturally without medical supervision
