WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Psoriasis (thick, scaly, red patches of skin)
• Chronic eczema with thickened skin
• Other stubborn scaly skin disorders as advised by a dermatologist

HOW IT WORKS

• Halobetasol is a strong corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, redness, swelling, and itching by acting on skin cells
• Salicylic acid is a keratolytic agent that softens and loosens thickened, scaly skin, helping remove dead skin cells
• Together they help the steroid penetrate better and give faster relief of scaling and irritation

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for acne or fungal skin infections

How to Use Halobetasol 0.05% W/W + Salicylic Acid 3% W/W

HOW TO TAKE IT

• For external use on skin only; not to be swallowed or applied near eyes, mouth, or mucous membranes
• Wash and dry the affected area gently before application
• Apply a thin layer as prescribed by your doctor, usually once or twice daily
• Rub in gently until absorbed; wash hands after application unless hands are the treated area
• Do not use more often or for longer than prescribed, as this increases the risk of side effects
• Do not cover the area with airtight dressings unless your doctor advises it

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Apply as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next application, skip the missed one
