WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treating melasma (dark patches on face, common in pregnancy or due to sun exposure)
• Lightening freckles and age spots
• Reducing hyperpigmentation caused by acne scars or skin injury

HOW IT WORKS

• Hydroquinone reduces the formation of melanin, the pigment responsible for skin colour
• Octinoxate and Benzophenone act as sunscreen agents, absorbing UV rays and preventing further darkening
• Together they lighten existing dark spots while protecting skin from new pigmentation caused by sunlight

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for treating acne, eczema or fungal skin infections
• Not a treatment for vitiligo (white patches)
• Not meant for use on wounds, cuts or broken skin
• Not a substitute for a separate daily sunscreen

How to Use Hydroquinone (2% W/W) + Octinoxate (9% W/W) + Benzophenone (2.5% W/W)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• For external use only; do not swallow
• Wash and dry the affected area before application
• Apply a thin layer as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily at night
• Avoid applying near eyes, lips, or on broken or irritated skin
• Wash your hands after applying
• Use a separate sunscreen during the day, as advised by your doctor, since this cream should generally be used at night

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Apply as soon as you remember unless it is close to the next application time
• Do not apply extra cream to make up for a missed dose
• Continue with your regular schedule as advised by your doctor

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep the tube tightly closed
• Keep out of reach of children

SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY

• Severe skin irritation, blistering or oozing
• Signs of allergic reaction such as swelling of face, lips or difficulty breathing
• Blue-black darkening of skin (ochronosis) with long-term use
• Severe rash or hives spreading beyond the applied area
