This medicine is mainly used to relieve pain, reduce fever, and control inflammation in both children and adults.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Fever due to infections or vaccinations
• Mild to moderate pain such as headache, toothache, earache, and body ache
• Pain and swelling from minor injuries, sprains, or muscle strain
• Pain associated with arthritis or joint conditions
• Menstrual cramps

HOW IT WORKS

• Ibuprofen blocks certain enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2) in the body
• This reduces the production of prostaglandins, chemicals that cause pain, fever, and inflammation
• As prostaglandin levels drop, pain, swelling, and body temperature come down

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not a cure for the underlying infection causing fever
• It does not treat bacterial or viral infections directly
• It is not meant for long-term daily use without medical supervision
• It should not be used as the first choice for fever in infants under the age recommended by a doctor

How to Use Ibuprofen (100mg/5ml)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take this medicine by mouth, exactly as prescribed by the doctor
• Use only the measuring cup, spoon, or oral syringe provided; do not use a regular kitchen spoon
• Shake the bottle well before each use
• Take after food or with milk to reduce stomach upset
• Do not exceed the dose or frequency advised by your doctor
• Do not use for more than the prescribed number of days without medical advice

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Give or take the missed dose as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue the normal schedule
