This medicine is used to treat infections caused by intestinal worms and certain parasites affecting the skin and gut.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treatment of roundworm, whipworm, hookworm and pinworm infections
• Treatment of strongyloidiasis (a type of roundworm infection)
• Management of scabies and certain skin infestations caused by parasites
• Used in mass deworming programs in some cases

HOW IT WORKS

• Albendazole stops worms from absorbing sugar, cutting off their energy source, which kills them
• Ivermectin paralyses and kills parasites by affecting their nerve and muscle function
• Together they act on a broader range of parasites than either drug alone

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for bacterial or viral infections
• Not a treatment for fungal infections
• Not meant for general fever or stomach pain unrelated to worm infestation
• Not to be used for prevention without medical advice

How to Use Ivermectin (12mg) + Albendazole (400mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor
• Usually taken as a single dose, but your doctor may repeat it after some time depending on the infection
• Preferably taken with a light meal to improve absorption, unless your doctor advises otherwise
• Swallow the tablet with water; do not crush unless instructed
• Complete the full course even if you feel better

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue as advised
• Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one
• Contact your doctor if you are unsure about missed doses

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
• Do not store in the bathroom or near a sink
