This combination is used for treating mixed skin infections where fungal growth, bacterial infection and inflammation occur together.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Fungal skin infections like ringworm, athlete's foot and jock itch with associated inflammation
• Skin infections that are also infected with bacteria
• Itching, redness and swelling caused by such mixed infections
• Eczema-like patches that have secondary infection

HOW IT WORKS

• Miconazole kills or stops the growth of fungus causing the infection
• Fluocinolone is a corticosteroid that reduces redness, swelling and itching
• Neomycin is an antibiotic that acts against bacteria that may be present in the infected skin
• Together they treat the infection and calm the irritated skin at the same time

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for acne or simple pimples
• Not used for viral skin infections like herpes or chickenpox
• Not used for open wounds or deep cuts
• Not meant for long-term routine use on normal skin
• Not for use on eyes or inside the mouth

How to Use Miconazole + Fluocinolone + Neomycin

HOW TO TAKE IT

• This medicine is for external use on the skin only
• Wash and dry the affected area gently before applying
• Apply a thin layer as prescribed by your doctor, usually to the affected area
• Use only as directed regarding frequency and duration; do not use for longer than advised
• Wash your hands before and after applying, unless the hands are the area being treated
• Avoid applying on face, eyes, mouth or genital area unless specifically advised by your doctor
• Do not cover the treated area with airtight bandages unless your doctor says so

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Apply as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next application, skip the missed one
• Do not apply extra medicine to make up for a missed dose

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight
• Keep the tube tightly closed
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Mild burning or stinging at the site of application
• Itching
• Dryness of skin
• Redness at the application site

• Increased hair growth in the treated area
• Development of stretch marks with long-term use

SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY

• Severe allergic reaction with swelling of face, lips or throat
• Difficulty breathing
• Severe rash, blistering or peeling of skin
• Signs of skin infection getting worse instead of better
• Hearing changes or ringing in ears (rare, with prolonged neomycin use on large areas)

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Have tuberculosis of the skin
• Have an untreated skin infection not diagnosed by a doctor

• Other topical steroid creams used at the same time
• Other antifungal or antibiotic creams applied to the same area
• Oral or injectable antifungal medicines, in case of extensive use
• Any other ear or skin medicine containing aminoglycoside antibiotics
