WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Fungal infections of the skin such as ringworm (tinea)

HOW IT WORKS

• Terbinafine kills the fungus causing the infection by damaging its cell membrane
• Mometasone is a steroid that reduces inflammation, redness, swelling and itching

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for viral infections like herpes or chickenpox
• Not used for bacterial skin infections
• Not meant for long-term or continuous use on normal skin

How to Use Mometasone 0.1% + Terbinafine 1%

HOW TO TAKE IT

• For external use on skin only, not for oral, eye, or internal use
• Wash and dry the affected area gently before application
• Apply a thin layer of the cream/ointment over the affected area as prescribed by your doctor
• Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the treated area
• Do not cover the area with airtight bandages unless directed by your doctor
• Use for the duration advised by your doctor, even if symptoms improve early
• Do not use more often or for longer than prescribed

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Apply as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next application, skip the missed one
• Do not apply extra medicine to make up for a missed dose

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep the cap tightly closed after use
• Keep out of reach of children

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Mild burning or stinging at the site of application

LESS COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Thinning of the skin with prolonged use

• Increased hair growth at the application site
• Small visible blood vessels on the skin

SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY

• Severe allergic reaction with rash, swelling of face/lips/tongue, or difficulty breathing
• Signs of skin infection worsening despite treatment
• Severe burning, blistering, or peeling of skin
• Signs of skin thinning such as stretch marks or easy bruising with long-term use
