This medicine is mainly used to treat urinary tract infections (UTIs) that cause both bacterial infection and painful bladder spasms.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treating bacterial infections of the urinary tract (bladder, urethra)
• Relieving pain, burning and urgency during urination caused by UTI
• Reducing bladder muscle spasms associated with infection
• Sometimes used after urinary procedures or surgery on doctor's advice

HOW IT WORKS

• Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that stops bacteria from multiplying, eventually killing them
• Flavoxate is a muscle relaxant that acts on the bladder wall to reduce spasm, pain and frequent urge to urinate
• Together they treat the infection and give quick symptom relief

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Viral infections such as cold or flu
• Fungal infections
• Sexually transmitted infections without doctor confirmation
• Long-term or preventive use without medical supervision

How to Use Ofloxacin 200mg + Flovoxate 200mg

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with a full glass of water
• Can be taken with or without food, but taking it consistently the same way each day is helpful
• Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Complete the full course of antibiotic even if you feel better early
• Drink plenty of fluids while on this medicine unless your doctor says otherwise
• Avoid taking it along with antacids, iron or calcium supplements at the same time; leave a gap of a few hours

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

• Severe diarrhoea with blood (possible colitis)
• Yellowing of skin or eyes, dark urine (liver problem)
• Irregular heartbeat, palpitations, or fainting
• Seizures, confusion, or severe mood changes
• Signs of severe skin reaction like blistering or peeling skin

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to ofloxacin, flavoxate, or other fluoroquinolone antibiotics
• Have a history of tendon problems linked to fluoroquinolones
• Have glaucoma or certain stomach/intestinal blockages (due to flavoxate)
• Are a child or adolescent under growth age, unless specifically advised by a doctor

• Have epilepsy or any seizure disorder

• NSAIDs (pain relievers) may increase risk of seizures with ofloxacin
• Oral diabetes medicines or insulin
