This composition is mainly used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults who need more than one medicine to control it.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Long-term control of high blood pressure
• Used when blood pressure is not controlled by a single blood pressure medicine
• Helps reduce risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney problems linked to high blood pressure

HOW IT WORKS

• Olmesartan relaxes blood vessels by blocking a hormone called angiotensin II
• Amlodipine relaxes blood vessel walls by blocking calcium entry into muscle cells
• Hydrochlorothiazide helps the kidneys remove extra salt and water from the body, reducing blood volume
• Together, these three actions lower blood pressure more effectively than one medicine alone

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for emergency lowering of dangerously high blood pressure
• Not a treatment for chest pain (angina) alone
• Not used for diabetes, cholesterol, or infections
• Not meant for occasional or as-needed use; it is a regular daily preventive treatment

How to Use Olmesartan 20mg + Amlodipine 5mg + Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew
• Can be taken with or without food, at the same time each day
• Continue taking it regularly even if you feel well; blood pressure control needs continuous treatment
• Do not stop suddenly without talking to your doctor

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep in the original pack until it is time to take the tablet
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Dizziness
• Headache
• Tiredness or weakness
• Swelling of ankles or feet
• Increased urination

LESS COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

• Muscle cramps
• Low blood pressure symptoms like light-headedness on standing
• Dry mouth or increased thirst

SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS — STOP AND SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY

• Severe dizziness or fainting
• Signs of an allergic reaction such as rash, swelling of face/lips/tongue, difficulty breathing
• Severe diarrhoea with weight loss (rare bowel disorder linked to Olmesartan)
• Yellowing of skin or eyes, dark urine (possible liver problem)
• Very low urine output or swelling suggesting kidney problems
• Irregular heartbeat, severe muscle weakness or cramps (signs of electrolyte imbalance)

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are pregnant or planning pregnancy
• Are breastfeeding
• Are allergic to Olmesartan, Amlodipine, Hydrochlorothiazide, or other sulfa-based medicines
• Have severe kidney or liver disease
• Have difficulty passing urine (severe blockage)
• Are diabetic and taking a medicine called aliskiren

• Lithium
• NSAID painkillers like ibuprofen or diclofenac used regularly
• Diabetes medicines (may affect blood sugar control)
• Certain antifungal or antibiotic medicines
