WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Used when a single blood pressure medicine is not enough to control blood pressure

HOW IT WORKS

• Olmesartan blocks angiotensin II, a chemical that narrows blood vessels, allowing vessels to relax
• Azelnidipine blocks calcium entry into blood vessel walls, causing the vessels to widen
• Together they lower blood pressure more effectively than either medicine alone

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not a painkiller or fever medicine

How to Use Olmesartan 20mg + Azelnidipine 8mg

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Severe diarrhoea with significant weight loss (rare intestinal problem linked to olmesartan)
• Yellowing of skin or eyes (signs of liver problems)
