Oxcarbazepine 150mg is mainly used to treat epilepsy in adults and children.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Treatment of partial seizures with or without secondary generalisation
- Can be used alone or along with other anti-epileptic medicines
- Used in both adults and children as advised by a neurologist
HOW IT WORKS
- Blocks certain sodium channels in nerve cells
- Reduces abnormal, repetitive electrical firing of neurons in the brain
- This helps prevent or reduce the frequency of seizures
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used for simple headaches or general body pain
- Not a first-line treatment for anxiety or depression
- Not meant for occasional, one-time fits caused by fever or other short-term illness without doctor evaluation

How to Use Oxcarbazepine 150mg
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once or twice a day
- Can be taken with or without food
- Swallow the tablet with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
- Do not stop this medicine suddenly, even if you feel better, as it may trigger seizures
- Any dose changes should only be made by your doctor
