WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Frequent urge to urinate (urinary frequency)
• Sudden, strong urge to urinate that is hard to control (urgency)
• Involuntary leakage of urine (urge incontinence)
• Bladder problems caused by certain nerve conditions affecting bladder control
• Bedwetting in children, when prescribed by a specialist

HOW IT WORKS

• Blocks certain nerve signals (acetylcholine receptors) in the bladder muscle
• Relaxes the bladder muscle so it does not contract suddenly and unpredictably
• Increases the amount of urine the bladder can hold before feeling the urge to pass it
• Reduces the number of urgent trips to the toilet and episodes of leakage

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for urinary tract infections

How to Use Oxybutynin 2.5mg

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with water

• Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew unless your doctor says it is fine
• Try to take it at the same times each day for consistent effect
• Continue taking it for as long as your doctor recommends, even if symptoms improve early

• High fever with hot, dry skin, especially in hot weather (risk of heat stroke due to reduced sweating)
• Severe eye pain or sudden vision changes

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
