How to Use Permethrin (5% W/V)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- For external use only; not to be swallowed
- Apply as a thin layer over the affected skin or scalp as directed by your doctor
- Leave on the skin for the recommended time before washing off, usually overnight or as advised
- Wash hands thoroughly after application unless hands are being treated
- Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes
- Use clean clothes and bedding after treatment to prevent reinfestation
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Apply as soon as you remember if it was part of a repeat treatment schedule
- If it is almost time for the next application, skip the missed one and continue as advised
- Do not apply extra amounts to make up for a missed application
