WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Chronic motor tic disorders, including Tourette's syndrome
• Treatment of psychotic symptoms such as delusions, hallucinations and disorganised thinking, when prescribed by a psychiatrist
• Certain resistant cases of persistent delusional disorder, as decided by the treating doctor

HOW IT WORKS

• It blocks dopamine receptors in the brain
• This helps reduce abnormal signalling that causes tics, hallucinations or disturbed thoughts
• It helps restore a calmer, more balanced mental state over time

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not a treatment for common anxiety or everyday stress
• It is not used for mild sleep problems
• It is not a painkiller or used for physical pain

How to Use Pimozide 2mg

Pimozide 2mg should be taken exactly as advised by your doctor.

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take it by mouth, usually once a day, at the same time each day
