WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treating symptoms of Parkinson's disease such as tremors, stiffness, and slow movement
• Treating moderate to severe Restless Legs Syndrome, especially at night
• Sometimes used along with other Parkinson's medicines like levodopa

HOW IT WORKS

• It stimulates dopamine receptors in the brain
• This helps make up for the low dopamine levels seen in Parkinson's disease
• In RLS, it helps calm the abnormal nerve signals that cause the urge to move the legs

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not a painkiller and does not treat general leg pain or cramps
• It is not used for depression or anxiety, even though it affects brain chemicals

How to Use Pramipexole 0.52mg

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with or without food
• Swallow the tablet with water; do not crush or chew unless your doctor says it is fine
• Try to take it at the same time(s) each day
• Do not stop suddenly without talking to your doctor, as symptoms may worsen
• Avoid alcohol as it can increase drowsiness
