How to Use Repaglinide (1mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor

• Swallow the tablet with water
• Do not change the dose without consulting your doctor

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• If you miss a meal, skip that dose of medicine too
• Do not take an extra dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from heat and moisture
• Keep the tablet in its original blister pack until use

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Have type 1 diabetes
• Have diabetic ketoacidosis
• Have severe liver disease
• Are allergic to repaglinide or any of its ingredients
• Are taking gemfibrozil (this combination is not recommended)

TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU

• Have kidney or liver problems
• Are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding
• Have a history of frequent low blood sugar episodes
• Are elderly or have other chronic illnesses
• Are scheduled for surgery

MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT

• Gemfibrozil and other fibrates

• Beta-blockers, which can mask signs of low blood sugar
