• Relieving urinary symptoms of BPH such as weak stream, frequent urination, and difficulty starting urination
• Improving overall urine flow in men with enlarged prostate

HOW IT WORKS

• Blocks alpha-1 receptors in blood vessels, causing them to relax and widen, which lowers blood pressure
• Relaxes the smooth muscles of the prostate and bladder neck, easing urine flow
• Reduces resistance to urine outflow without needing to shrink the prostate size

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used to treat urinary tract infections
• Not a cure for prostate cancer or an enlarged prostate itself
• Not intended for emergency lowering of blood pressure

How to Use Terazosin (2mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
• It is often recommended to take the first dose at bedtime to reduce the risk of dizziness on standing
• Can be taken with or without food
• Swallow the tablet with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Stand up slowly from sitting or lying down, especially when starting treatment

IF YOU MISS A DOSE
