WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Ringworm (tinea) infections of the body, groin and feet (athlete's foot)
- Fungal skin infections causing itching, redness and scaling
- Yeast infections of the skin in some cases as advised by doctor
HOW IT WORKS
- It stops the fungus from making a substance it needs to build its cell wall
- This kills the fungus and clears the infection over time
- It works directly on the skin where it is applied
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not used for nail fungal infections (those need oral treatment usually)
- It is not used for bacterial skin infections
- It is not used for viral skin conditions like warts or herpes
- It is not a treatment for scalp fungal infections
How to Use Terbinafine 1%
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Wash and dry the affected area before applying
- Apply a thin layer as prescribed by your doctor, usually once or twice a day
- Rub in gently and wash hands after application unless hands are the treated area
- Continue using for the full duration advised, even if symptoms improve early
- Avoid covering the area tightly unless told to do so
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Apply it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next application, skip the missed one and continue as usual
- Do not apply extra to make up for a missed dose
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight
- Keep the cap tightly closed after use
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

- Mild burning or stinging at the site of application
- Itching
- Redness of the skin
- Dryness or peeling of the applied area

- Difficulty breathing
