This medicine is used to treat conditions where the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormone naturally.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Treating hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid)
- Managing thyroid hormone replacement after thyroid surgery or radioactive iodine treatment
- Suppressing thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) in certain thyroid conditions, including some cases of goitre
- Supporting normal growth and development in children with congenital hypothyroidism

How to Use Thyroxine Sodium 75mcg
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
- Take on an empty stomach, at least 30 to 60 minutes before breakfast, with a full glass of water
- Take at the same time every day for consistent results
- Avoid taking it close to calcium, iron supplements, or antacids, as they can reduce absorption; leave a gap of at least 4 hours
- Do not stop the medicine on your own, even if you feel better
- Continue regular blood tests as advised by your doctor to monitor thyroid levels
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue as usual
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Are allergic to thyroxine sodium or any of its ingredients
- Have untreated adrenal gland problems
- Have untreated overactive thyroid (thyrotoxicosis)
