How to Use Valproic Acid 1g

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with food to reduce stomach upset
• Swallow tablets whole; do not crush or chew unless your doctor says it is fine
• Take it at the same time(s) every day to maintain steady levels in the blood
• Do not stop this medicine suddenly, as it may trigger seizures; any change must be done gradually under medical supervision

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
• Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one
