This medicine is used to treat high blood pressure in adults who need more than one medicine to control it.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Management of high blood pressure (hypertension)
- Used when a single blood pressure medicine is not enough
HOW IT WORKS
- Azilsartan blocks a hormone called angiotensin II, relaxing and widening blood vessels
- Chlorthalidone increases urine output, removing extra salt and water from the body
- Together they lower blood pressure more effectively than either alone
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used for immediate relief of a hypertensive emergency
- Not a painkiller or fever medicine
- Not used for heart attack treatment
- Not recommended for use in pregnancy

COMMON SIDE EFFECTS

- Severe dehydration, confusion, or persistent vomiting

How to Use ABEL CT TABLET (AZILSARTAN MEDOXOMIL 40 MG + CHLORTHALIDONE 12.5 MG)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day
- Can be taken with or without food, at the same time each day
- Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
- Do not stop taking it suddenly without consulting your doctor, even if you feel well
- Continue regular blood pressure checks as advised
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one

- Store at room temperature, away from heat and moisture
- Keep in the original pack, away from direct sunlight
- Keep out of reach and sight of children
