WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treating moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease
• Helping manage decline in memory, thinking and daily activities in dementia patients
• Sometimes used in other forms of dementia as decided by the doctor

HOW IT WORKS

• Blocks excess activity of glutamate, a brain chemical involved in nerve signalling
• Helps protect nerve cells from overstimulation
• Does not cure the disease but may slow progression of symptoms

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not a cure for Alzheimer's disease or dementia
• Not used for mild memory loss without a doctor's diagnosis
• Not meant for general anxiety, depression or sleep problems

How to Use ADMENTA XR 7MG TABLET (MEMANTINE 7MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once or twice a day
• Can be taken with or without food
• Swallow tablets with water; do not crush unless advised
• Dose is usually increased gradually over a few weeks
• Do not stop suddenly without consulting your doctor

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose
• Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
