This medicine is used to treat allergic rhinitis, a condition where the nose reacts to allergens like dust, pollen or pet dander causing sneezing, itching, congestion and runny nose.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever)
• Perennial (year-round) allergic rhinitis
• Relief of nasal itching, sneezing, congestion and runny nose
• Relief of associated eye symptoms like itching or watering in some cases

HOW IT WORKS

• Fluticasone Furoate is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation and swelling in the nasal passage
• Azelastine HCl is an antihistamine that blocks histamine, a chemical that causes allergy symptoms
• Together they act faster and more effectively than either medicine alone

• Common cold or viral infections

• Signs of allergic reaction such as swelling of face, lips or throat, difficulty breathing
• Vision changes or eye pain
• Signs of nasal septum damage such as persistent crusting, whistling sound while breathing, or a hole in the nasal septum
• Severe dizziness or fainting

How to Use ALLEGRA NASAL DUO SP (Fluticasone Furoate 27.5mcg + Azelastine HCl 140mcg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Use only as a nasal spray, exactly as prescribed by your doctor
• Shake the bottle gently before use
• Blow your nose gently to clear nasal passages before spraying
• Tilt your head slightly forward and spray into each nostril as directed, avoiding the middle part of the nose (septum)
• Do not spray into eyes
• Wash hands after use
• Use at the same time each day for best results

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
• Do not use double the amount to make up for a missed dose

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight
• Keep the cap tightly closed
• Do not freeze
• Keep out of reach of children
• Discard after the expiry date or after the labelled number of days once opened, as mentioned on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to fluticasone, azelastine, or any other ingredient in this spray
• Have recently had nasal surgery or nasal injury that has not healed
• Have an untreated nasal or sinus infection

TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU

• Have glaucoma or cataract
• Have a history of frequent nosebleeds
• Have tuberculosis or any untreated infection
• Are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding
• Have liver disease
• Are using other steroid medicines (nasal, inhaled, oral or injectable)

MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT

• Other corticosteroids (nasal, oral, inhaled)
• Ritonavir and other strong CYP3A4 inhibitor drugs
• Sedatives, sleeping pills or alcohol (may increase drowsiness with azelastine)
• Other antihistamine medicines
