Etifoxine 50mg is mainly prescribed for the treatment of anxiety disorders, especially anxiety that comes with physical symptoms like tightness in the chest, muscle tension, or a racing heart.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Generalised anxiety and nervousness
- Anxiety with associated physical (somatic) symptoms
- Short-term management of stress-related anxiety, as advised by your doctor
HOW IT WORKS
- It acts on GABA receptors in the brain, which helps calm overactive nerve signals
- It also acts on certain nerve cell receptors involved in reducing anxiety and supporting nerve function
- Together these actions help reduce feelings of worry, tension and restlessness
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not used for treating depression as a primary condition
- It is not a painkiller and does not treat physical pain directly

How to Use ANXYFREE Capsules (Etifoxine 50mg)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually in divided doses during the day
- It can be taken with or without food, unless your doctor advises otherwise
- Swallow the tablet with a glass of water; do not crush or chew unless instructed
- Do not increase or decrease the dose on your own
- Continue the course for as long as your doctor recommends, even if you feel better
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take the missed dose as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
- Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed one
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep out of reach of children and pets
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
- Dispose of unused medicine safely, do not flush down the drain
