This medicine is used to treat mixed dyslipidemia, a condition where a person has both high cholesterol (LDL) and high triglyceride levels, along with low HDL (good cholesterol).

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Lowering high LDL (bad) cholesterol
• Lowering high triglyceride levels
• Raising HDL (good) cholesterol
• Reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke in people with lipid disorders

HOW IT WORKS

• Rosuvastatin blocks an enzyme in the liver that makes cholesterol, reducing LDL production

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day
• It can be taken with or without food, but try to take it at the same time every day
• Swallow the tablet/capsule whole with water; do not crush or chew unless your doctor says so
• Continue taking it even if you feel well, as cholesterol control needs regular use

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
