This combination medicine is mainly used to prevent frequent or severe migraine headaches in adults.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Prevention of recurrent migraine attacks
- Reducing the frequency and severity of migraine episodes
- Sometimes used for other conditions as decided by your doctor, such as tremors along with migraine prevention
HOW IT WORKS
- Propranolol blocks certain stress hormone effects on the heart and blood vessels, reducing triggers for migraine
- Flunarizine relaxes blood vessels in the brain and stabilises blood flow, helping prevent migraine onset
- Together they reduce the frequency, severity, and duration of migraine attacks over time
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used to treat a migraine attack once it has started
- Not a painkiller and will not give immediate relief from headache pain
- Not used for general anxiety or routine blood pressure control unless specifically advised
- Not recommended for children unless prescribed by a specialist

HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
- Swallow the tablet with water, with or without food, at the same time each day
- Do not stop taking it suddenly, especially the propranolol component, as this can cause serious heart-related effects
- It may take several weeks of regular use before you notice a reduction in migraine attacks
- Do not increase or decrease the dose on your own
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
- Do not take double doses to make up for a missed one
