This medicine is used for reducing high pressure inside the eye, commonly seen in glaucoma or ocular hypertension.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Lowering elevated intraocular pressure
• Managing open-angle glaucoma
• Managing ocular hypertension when a single medicine is not enough

HOW IT WORKS

• Brimonidine reduces the amount of fluid produced in the eye and increases its drainage
• Timolol, a beta-blocker, decreases the production of fluid inside the eye
• Together they lower eye pressure more effectively than either alone
• Benzalkonium chloride acts as a preservative to keep the eye drop solution sterile

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for treating eye infections
• Not used for relieving eye redness caused by allergy or irritation
• Not used for treating dry eyes
• Not a painkiller for eye injuries

How to Use BRIMOLOL EYE DROP (Brimonidine 1.5mg + Timolol 5mg + Benzalkonium 0.01%)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Use only in the eye(s), as prescribed by your doctor
• Wash your hands before using the eye drop
• Tilt your head back, pull down the lower eyelid, and place the drop inside
• Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or any surface
• Press gently on the inner corner of your eye for a minute after applying, to reduce absorption into the body
• If you use other eye drops, wait at least some minutes between different drops, as advised by your doctor
• Do not stop using this medicine suddenly without asking your doctor, even if your eyes feel normal

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue as usual
• Do not apply a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store as directed on the pack, usually below 25°C, away from direct sunlight
• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use
• Discard the bottle after the recommended period once opened, as advised on the label
• Keep out of reach of children

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Have asthma or severe chronic obstructive lung disease

• Are a young infant, as safety has not been established
