Uses and Benefits of BUDEZ 3MG CR CAPSULE (BUDESONIDE 3MG.)
This medicine is used to treat inflammatory conditions of the gut, particularly Crohn's disease involving the ileum and ascending colon, and sometimes other forms of colitis.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Treating active mild to moderate Crohn's disease
- Maintaining remission in Crohn's disease for a limited period
- Managing certain types of microscopic colitis
HOW IT WORKS
- It is a corticosteroid that acts mainly on the lining of the gut
- It reduces swelling, redness, and irritation in the intestinal wall
- Its special coating releases the medicine slowly in the intended part of the gut, limiting effects on the rest of the body
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- It is not used for general body-wide inflammation like other steroids
- It is not a painkiller and does not treat infections
- It is not meant for long-term continuous use without medical supervision
- It does not cure Crohn's disease, only controls flare-ups

How to Use BUDEZ 3MG CR CAPSULE (BUDESONIDE 3MG.)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily in the morning
- Swallow the capsule whole with water; do not crush, chew, or break it
- Take before a meal unless your doctor tells you otherwise
- Do not stop suddenly without consulting your doctor, especially after long use
- Continue for the full duration prescribed even if you feel better
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
- If you miss doses often, inform your doctor

- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not store in the bathroom or near a sink

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
- Are allergic to budesonide or any of its ingredients
- Have an active untreated infection, especially fungal infections
- Have been advised against corticosteroids by your doctor

- Have diabetes, high blood pressure, or osteoporosis
- Have a history of tuberculosis or other chronic infections

MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT
- Ketoconazole and other antifungal medicines
- Certain antibiotics like clarithromycin

- Grapefruit juice, which can increase drug levels
- NSAIDs like ibuprofen, which may increase stomach-related side effects
