• Treatment of schizophrenia in adults
• Treatment of manic or mixed episodes linked to bipolar I disorder
• Treatment of depressive episodes linked to bipolar disorder
• Sometimes used alongside other medicines for certain mood disorders, as decided by your doctor

HOW IT WORKS

• Fainting, irregular heartbeat or severe dizziness
• Signs of high blood sugar such as excessive thirst, frequent urination, extreme tiredness
• New or worsening mood changes, agitation, or thoughts of self-harm
• Severe allergic reaction — swelling of face/lips/tongue, difficulty breathing, skin rash

How to Use CARISPEC 6MG CAPSULE (Cariprazine (6mg))

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
• Can be taken with or without food, unless your doctor says otherwise
• Swallow the tablet/capsule whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Try to take it at the same time each day to build a routine
• Do not stop suddenly without talking to your doctor, even if you feel better
• It may take several weeks to feel the full benefit — continue taking it regularly

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU
