Cefdinir 300mg is used to treat infections caused by susceptible bacteria in different parts of the body.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Infections of the throat and tonsils
• Sinus infections
• Infections of the middle ear
• Bronchitis and other lower respiratory tract infections
• Uncomplicated skin and soft tissue infections

HOW IT WORKS

• It belongs to the cephalosporin class of antibiotics
• It stops bacteria from building their protective cell wall
• Without a proper cell wall, bacteria cannot survive and the infection is cleared

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It does not work against viral infections such as common cold or flu
• It is not used for fungal infections
• It should not be used to prevent infections unless specifically advised by a doctor
• It is not effective if bacteria are resistant to cephalosporin antibiotics

• Severe or watery diarrhoea that does not stop
• Signs of allergic reaction such as swelling of face, lips, or throat, difficulty breathing
• Severe skin reaction with blistering or peeling
• Yellowing of skin or eyes, dark urine (signs of liver problem)
• Unusual bleeding or bruising
• Severe stomach cramps with fever

How to Use CEFDIEL CAPSULE (CEFDINIR 300MG.)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor
• Can be taken with or without food, but taking with food may reduce stomach upset
• Swallow the capsule whole with water; shake the suspension well before use
• Complete the full course even if you feel better, unless your doctor tells you to stop
• Do not take antacids or iron supplements close to the time you take this medicine, as they can reduce its effect; ask your doctor about proper spacing

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue your regular schedule
• Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct heat, light, and moisture
• Keep the suspension form as advised by your pharmacist; some liquid forms need refrigeration after mixing
• Keep out of reach of children
• Discard any unused liquid after the recommended period as printed on the label

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Iron supplements or multivitamins containing iron
