Uses and Benefits of CLOMIPURE 50MG CAPSULE (Clomifene 50mg)

Clomifene is mainly used to treat infertility in women caused by problems with ovulation.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• To induce ovulation in women who do not ovulate regularly or at all
• To help women with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) release an egg
• As part of a fertility treatment plan, sometimes along with monitoring by ultrasound

HOW IT WORKS

• It blocks estrogen receptors in the brain, tricking the body into thinking estrogen levels are low
• This causes the brain to release more hormones (FSH and LH) that stimulate the ovary
• The stimulated ovary then produces and releases a mature egg

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not used to treat male infertility routinely without medical evaluation
• It is not a general hormone supplement or contraceptive
• It does not treat infections or hormonal problems unrelated to ovulation
