Uses and Benefits of CONSTICALO 2MG TABLET (PRUCALOPRIDE 2MG)

Prucalopride 2mg is mainly used to treat chronic constipation in adults who have not found relief with other laxatives.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Long-term (chronic) constipation in adults
• Constipation that has not improved with simple laxatives or diet changes
• Restoring more normal, regular bowel movements

HOW IT WORKS

• It acts on receptors in the gut wall that control movement of the intestines
• It increases the natural contractions of the bowel, helping stool move through more easily
• This helps reduce straining and improves stool frequency and consistency

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• It is not a painkiller and does not treat abdominal pain unrelated to constipation
• It is not used for diarrhoea or irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhoea
• It is not meant for occasional, short-term constipation from travel or diet
• It does not treat blockages in the intestine (bowel obstruction)

How to Use CONSTICALO 2MG TABLET (PRUCALOPRIDE 2MG)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
• Can be taken with or without food
• Swallow the tablet with a glass of water
• Try to take it at the same time each day for best results
• Do not increase or decrease the dose on your own

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
• Do not store in the bathroom or near a sink
