WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Treating high blood pressure (hypertension)
• Preventing episodes of angina (chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart)
• Managing certain types of coronary artery disease as advised by a doctor

HOW IT WORKS

• It relaxes and widens blood vessels by blocking calcium entry into vascular muscle cells
• This reduces the resistance the heart has to pump against, lowering blood pressure

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day
• Can be taken with or without food

• Try to take it at the same time each day to maintain steady blood levels
• Continue taking it even if you feel well, as it controls but does not cure high blood pressure

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE
