This combination medicine is mainly used for people who have had a heart attack, stroke, or have significant risk of cardiovascular disease due to high cholesterol and clot risk.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Lowering high cholesterol and LDL levels
- Preventing blood clots in patients with heart disease
- Reducing risk of heart attack or stroke in high-risk patients
- Secondary prevention after a cardiovascular event
HOW IT WORKS
- Rosuvastatin reduces cholesterol production in the liver
- Aspirin thins the blood by preventing platelets from clumping together
- Clopidogrel also prevents platelets from sticking together, reducing clot formation
- Together they lower cholesterol and reduce clot-related events
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not for treating an active heart attack or stroke episode
- Not a painkiller or fever reducer despite containing Aspirin
- Not used for general weight loss or minor aches
- Not suitable for immediate emergency treatment of chest pain without medical supervision

HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
- Swallow the tablet whole with water
- Can be taken with or without food, but follow your doctor's advice
- Do not stop the medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor, even if you feel well

- Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
- If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose
