Paracetamol 240mg is commonly used to relieve pain and reduce fever in children and adults.
WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR
- Fever due to infections, cold, or flu
- Fever after vaccination
- Mild to moderate pain such as headache, body ache, toothache
- Pain and fever associated with common illnesses in children
HOW IT WORKS
- Blocks certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) in the brain that cause pain and fever
- Acts on the brain's temperature-regulating centre to lower raised body temperature
- Does not reduce inflammation or swelling significantly
WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR
- Not used to treat the underlying cause of infection, such as bacteria or viruses
- Not effective for severe or chronic pain conditions
- Not a substitute for anti-inflammatory medicines when swelling or inflammation needs to be treated

How to Use CROCIN DS SYRUP (PARACETAMOL 240MG)
HOW TO TAKE IT
- Take exactly as advised by the doctor, based on age and body weight
- Can be taken with or without food
- If using a liquid/syrup form, shake well before use and measure the dose using the measuring cup or syringe provided
- Do not use more often than advised, even if fever or pain persists
- Do not combine with other paracetamol-containing products without checking with a doctor or pharmacist, to avoid taking too much in a day
IF YOU MISS A DOSE
- Take it as soon as you remember
- If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and continue with the regular schedule
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one
STORAGE
- Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
- Discard opened liquid formulations after the time period mentioned on the label
