This medicine is used to treat symptoms of common cold, flu and allergic conditions affecting the nose and throat.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Relief of blocked or stuffy nose (nasal congestion)
• Relief of dry, irritating cough
• Relief of sneezing, watery eyes and runny nose due to allergy or cold

HOW IT WORKS

• Pseudoephedrine narrows swollen blood vessels in the nose to reduce congestion
• Dextromethorphan acts on the brain's cough centre to reduce the urge to cough
• Cetirizine blocks histamine, a chemical that causes sneezing, itching and watery eyes

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Not used for wet or productive cough with mucus
• Not a treatment for bacterial infections such as sinusitis or pneumonia
• Not meant for long-term daily use
• Not suitable for asthma-related cough or breathlessness

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with water
• Can be taken with or without food, unless advised otherwise
• Do not crush or chew extended-release tablets unless told to
• Avoid taking in the evening if it causes sleep disturbance, unless advised otherwise
• Do not take more than the prescribed amount or for longer than advised
• Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine as it can increase drowsiness

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one
• Do not take double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture
• Keep out of reach of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack
• Do not store in the bathroom or near a sink
