This medicine is used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, especially when diet, exercise, and a single medicine are not enough to control blood sugar.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Controlling high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes
• Used along with diet and exercise
• Used when other diabetes medicines alone do not give adequate control

HOW IT WORKS

• Glimepiride helps the pancreas release more insulin
• Dapagliflozin helps the kidneys remove excess sugar through urine

• Signs of ketoacidosis even with normal blood sugar: nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, breathlessness
• Severe urinary tract or genital infection with fever and pain
• Signs of dehydration or kidney problems: reduced urination, swelling, extreme thirst
• Allergic reactions: swelling of face/lips/throat, severe rash, difficulty breathing

How to Use Dapaturn GM 2mg Tablets (Glimepiride 2mg + Dapagliflozin 10mg + Metformin 500mg)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once daily
• Take with the first main meal of the day to reduce stomach upset and lower risk of low blood sugar
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew unless advised
• Continue diet and exercise recommendations given by your doctor
• Do not stop the medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take it as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to glimepiride, dapagliflozin, metformin, or any ingredient in this medicine
• Have type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis
• Have severe kidney or liver disease
• Have a serious infection, dehydration, or severe illness affecting kidney function
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding, unless specifically advised by your doctor

TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU

• Have kidney or liver problems
• Have a history of urinary tract or genital infections
• Have low blood pressure or are on diuretics
• Are elderly, or have heart disease
• Are scheduled for surgery or an imaging test involving contrast dye
• Drink alcohol regularly
• Are on a low-carbohydrate diet or fasting for long periods

• Diuretics (water pills) and blood pressure medicines
• Steroids
• Certain antibiotics and antifungal medicines
• Alcohol
• Contrast dye used in scans
