Darifenacin 7.5mg is used to manage overactive bladder, a condition where the bladder muscle contracts too often or too suddenly, causing bothersome urinary symptoms.

WHAT THIS MEDICINE IS USED FOR

• Frequent need to urinate during the day and night
• Sudden, strong urge to urinate that is hard to control
• Leakage of urine due to sudden urge (urge incontinence)

HOW IT WORKS

• Blocks certain receptors (muscarinic M3 receptors) in the bladder muscle
• Reduces involuntary contractions of the bladder
• Increases the amount of urine the bladder can hold before you feel the urge to go

WHAT IT IS NOT USED FOR

• Stress incontinence caused by physical activity, coughing, or sneezing
• Urinary tract infections
• Bladder pain not related to overactive bladder
• Prostate enlargement symptoms unless specifically advised by a doctor

How to Use DARILONG 7.5MG TABLET (DARIFENACIN 7.5MG.)

HOW TO TAKE IT

• Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once a day
• Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not chew, crush, or break it
• Can be taken with or without food, at the same time each day
• Continue taking it regularly even if you feel better, unless your doctor advises stopping

IF YOU MISS A DOSE

• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember on the same day
• If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue your normal schedule
• Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one

STORAGE

• Store at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight
• Keep in its original pack until ready to use
• Keep out of reach and sight of children
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE IF YOU

• Are allergic to darifenacin or any of its ingredients
• Have urinary retention (inability to empty the bladder)
• Have severe uncontrolled constipation or a blockage in the intestine
• Have untreated narrow-angle glaucoma
• Have severe liver disease

TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING IF YOU

• Have any bladder outflow obstruction
• Have myasthenia gravis or other conditions affecting muscle movement
• Have kidney or liver problems
• Have a history of heart rhythm problems
• Are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding

MEDICINES THAT CAN INTERACT

• Antifungal medicines like ketoconazole or itraconazole
• Certain antibiotics such as clarithromycin
• Other medicines for overactive bladder or with anticholinergic effects
• Medicines for HIV such as ritonavir
• Any other prescription, over-the-counter, or herbal medicines you are taking
